Prime site that has stood vacant for more than 20 years up for sale

By in Uncategorized

One of the largest blocks of vacant land in Maroochydore has attracted the attention of overseas buyers.

No. 7 and 11 Southern Drive, and 10 Carnaby Street is on offer via an expressions of interest campaign.

The site is more than 6050sqm and has been dubbed one of the last significant development ready sites in the town, by the selling Agent, being one of the larges vacant sites in the area and close to the CBD.

The property is being sold by a Sydney family that purchased it for less than $4m in 2004.

The site has been vacant since.

The site is stretched across three titles, has street frontage of 245m and is in a prominent corner position.

It borders the emerging Maroochydore City Centre priority development area, which is being driven by developer Walker Corporation and Sunshine Coast Council.

A mix of residential, commercial, retail, civic and community uses have been established there, and there is significantly more to come.

The site is currently restricted to a height limit of 25m; however, the principal centre zoned land could see it scaled to 35mm under a new draft Sunshine Coast planning scheme.
