What we’ll do — step by step
Here’s exactly what’s involved, so you can see what you’re paying for. It’s more than it looks from the outside — there are twelve separate mailboxes to move, and every one has to be copied, checked and proven before anything old is deleted.
1. Set up your new home on the server
First we register your new domain, asgtas.com.au, in your name so it’s genuinely yours. Then we spin up a brand-new hosting account on our server to hold your email — this is a full account in its own right, configured from scratch: the mail server, the security settings, the spam filtering, and the connection details your devices will use. We also build a simple holding page so that if anyone ever types the address into a browser, they see a tidy page rather than an error — the domain needs a home, and this gives it one. In short, we’re building you a complete, self-contained email system that doesn’t depend on affordableskips.com.au in any way.
2. Recreate every email address
You currently have twelve email addresses on affordableskips.com.au. We recreate each one on the new domain, so every address has an exact match — for example sales@affordableskips.com.au becomes sales@asgtas.com.au, chris@ becomes chris@asgtas.com.au, and so on through all twelve, along with any aliases or forwarders attached to them.
3. Copy all the mail across
Using professional migration software on the server, we copy the complete contents of each old mailbox into its matching new one — every folder, sent item, and message, with read and unread status preserved, so each mailbox arrives looking exactly as it does now. Two of your accounts (chris and sales) are large — several gigabytes each — so these take the longest and are watched closely. Nothing is removed from the old mailboxes during this step — we’re only copying, so your existing email stays completely safe the whole time.
