No Room for Regret
Selling and Buying a home is, and always has been, an emotional roller coaster ride and, whether you are a Seller or a Buyer, the market is as challenging as it could be right now, leaving many Sellers and Buyers with questions and doubts.
The issue is, pure and simply, a booming real estate market.
Whilst we have a shortage of properties for sale, combined with an abundance of eager potential Buyers, emotions are riding high, both before and after every transaction.
Sellers are left wondering if they have accepted an offer too soon and Buyers are feeling upset and angry about missing out on a property, after weeks of painstakingly searching for a suitable home.
The truth is, that’s what happens in a thriving and rapidly growing property market.
There is no point in regretting what offer you accepted on your home 6 months down the line. Property prices are increasing in value and your property was worth what a Buyer was prepared to pay for it at that time.
Buyers should be made aware that their offer is probably not going to be the only offer, but part of a multiple-offer process, and therefore should be made aware, that if they wish to secure the property, they should “put their best foot forward”.
In this kind of vibrant market, Agents are not to blame for Buyers missing out on a property or for a property increasing in value a few months after a Seller has sold it.
It does however, remain the job of the Agent to advise Buyers and Sellers of how best to navigate towards the most successful outcome for themselves in this tumultuous market place.
