Discover Landsborough’s Story on Foot

There’s a brand-new way to experience the Sunshine Coast’s historic town of Landsborough – and it’s right in the heart of Cribb Street!

The Landsborough Heritage Walk is a self-guided trail that brings the town’s history and culture to life through storytelling, public art, interpretive signage, and even digital experiences.

Along the way, you can scan QR codes to hear audio stories that share everything from traditional First Nations cultural practices to quirky tales like the Landsborough Pub being rolled into place on a bullock wagon!

The walk honours Landsborough’s rich layers of history – from its importance as a First Nations meeting place, to its role in shaping local government on the Sunshine Coast, and its timber heritage that helped the town thrive.

Local residents, community groups, and the Landsborough Museum all played a part in making this project possible. Their stories and memories add a truly personal touch to the trail.

As Councillor Jenny Broderick put it: “It’s more than just a walk: it’s a way to hear the stories that shaped this town.”

Whether you’re a local or just visiting, the Landsborough Heritage Walk offers a beautiful opportunity to slow down, connect with history, and see the town in a new light.

Next time you’re in Landsborough, take a wander through Cribb Street, explore the museum, and let the stories of the past walk alongside you.
